MICA Heliskiing - maintenance Technician

 
 

Mica Heliskiing are looking for a full-time, year round Maintenance Technician based primarily at our remote backcountry lodge north of Revelstoke, BC. 

The position follows a shiftwork-based schedule, with shift lengths varying between winter heliskiing operations (mid-December to mid-April) and the off-season (mid-April to mid-December). 

  • Position reports to: Maintenance Manager

  • Work Term: Full time, year round

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Maintenance Technician at our remote heli-skiing lodge, you’ll play a key role in the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This position involves scheduled maintenance, equipment replacement, participation in improvement projects, and supporting day-to-day operations as a collaborative team member.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing lodge infrastructure, equipment, and vehicles, along with general facilities upkeep. You’ll work closely with the Maintenance Manager, lodge management, and fellow team members to ensure high standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction are consistently met.

  • Executive Chef

The Executive Chef is responsible for the meal program at Selkirk Snowcat Skiing serving 24 guests and 15 staff every 6 days from mid-December through mid April. They have a strong understanding of products, current food trends and guest expectations balanced with teamwork and excellent time management skills. The Executive Chef is an integral part of the management team.

  • Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistants are responsible for providing delicious, creative and nutritious lunches, soups and appetizers for 24 guests and approx. 10 staff each week at Selkirk Snowcat Skiing from mid December through mid April. The Kitchen Assistant works closely with other team members to help plan meals that compliment the dinner menu. As front line kitchen staff, you respond to client requests quickly and efficiently to deliver exceptional guest service.

  • Sous Chef

The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to prepare wholesome, creative and nutritious breakfasts and dinners for 24 guests and approx. 10 staff each week at Selkirk Snowcat Skiing from mid December through mid April. A strong understanding of products, current food trends and guest expectations balanced with teamwork and excellent time management skills are essential to the job. The Sous Chef is an integral part of the lodge team.
